Ground Beef And Rutabaga Pie Recipe.


Ingredients:


3 Cups Rutabaga (Diced)
2 Cups Potatoes (Peeled and Diced)
1 LB Ground Beef
1/2 Cup Yellow Onion (Chopped)
1/2 Cup Celery (Sliced)
1/4 Cup Steak Sauce
1 TSP Salt
1/2 TSP Ground Black Pepper
2 Pie Crusts (9" Pie)


Recipe Instructions:


Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
In a large pot over high heat, bring the rutabagas and potatoes to a boil in salted water until tender, drain and set aside.
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion and celery until the meat is browned and vegetables are tender.
Drain then add the rutabagas, potatoes, steak sauce, salt and pepper, mix well to combine.
Line the bottom of a 9" pie pan with pastry.
Fill with the beef and rutabaga mixture, top with remaining pastry, flute the edges of the pie and cut slits in the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, after 10 minutes, reduce the heat to 350 degrees and bake for another 30-45 minutes until the pie crust is golden brown.
Remove from the oven and serve warm.
