3 ripe medium Bosc or Bartlett pears,* peeled, halved, and cored
1/4 cup pear nectar
3 TBSPs honey
2 TBSPs butter
1 TSP orange zest
1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
2 TBSPs powdered sugar
1/3 cup chopped roasted, salted pistachios
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Arrange pears, cut sides down, in a 2-quart rectangular baking dish.
Add the next four ingredients (through orange zest).
Roast, uncovered, 20 to 25 minutes or until tender, spooning liquid over pears occasionally.
Transfer pears to serving dishes with some of the liquid.
Stir together mascarpone cheese and powdered sugar.
Spoon over pears; sprinkle with pistachios.
If desired, drizzle with additional honey.
