4 Cups All Purpose Flour
6 TBSP Sugar
1 1/2 TSP Baking Powder
1/2 TSP Salt
1/2 Cup Butter
2 Large Eggs (Room Temperature)
3/4 Cup Whole Milk
1 Cup Raisins
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside.
In a large glass bowl combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt, cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
In a medium glass bowl, whisk the eggs and 3/4 cup of the milk and add it to the dry ingredients until just moist.
Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead in the raisins.
Divide the dough in half.
Shape each portion into an 8" circle, cut each circle into 8 pieces.
Place on the lined baking sheet, brush with remaining milk and bake in the preheated oven for 15-25 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
Serve warm.
