Adult Mac And Cheese Recipe.


Ingredients:


6 Oz Mini Penne or Shell Pasta (Uncooked)
1 Oz Pancetta
1 TBSP Olive Oil
2 TBSP All Purpose Flour
1 Cup Whole Milk
4 Oz Fontina Cheese (Diced)
1/4 Cup Pecorino Romano Cheese (Grated)
Pinch of Salt
Pinch of Ground Black Pepper
2 TBSP Panko Breadcrumbs


Recipe Instructions:


Cook pasta according to packet directions.
Meanwhile, preheat oven broiler and in a 3 quart saucepan, cook the pancetta on medium heat until browned, about 5 minutes.
With a slotted spoon transfer cooked pancetta to a dish lined with paper towels to drain.
In the same pan, add 1 TBSP of olive oil heat and whisk in the flour, slowly begin to whisk in the milk and bring to a boil.
Remove saucepan from heat and stir in the cheeses, ground black pepper and salt, stir until cheeses have melted and a rich, creamy smooth cheese sauce has developed.
Add cooked pasta to the cheese sauce, stir to combine well, next add the cooked pancetta and stir to combine.
Spoon mixture into an oven proof dis, sprinkle with panko breadcrumbs and place in the oven and broil for about 5 minutes or until the macaroni and cheese is bubbling and the panko breadcrumbs are a rich, golden brown.
Serve immediately.
