Meatballs With Marinara Sauce Recipe.


Ingredients:


For the Meatballs
2 LB Ground Pork (Lean)
1 LB Ground Beef (Lean)
2 TBSP Italian Seasoning
1 Egg
1 TBSP Fresh Parsley (Chopped)
1 TSP Ground Black Pepper
2 TSP Salt
For the Marinara Sauce
1 (28 Oz) Can Crushed Tomatoes
1 Red Onion (Small, Finely Chopped)
2 TBSP Olive Oil
1 Bay Leaf
1 Clove Garlic (Chopped)
1 TBSP Fresh Parsley (Finely Chopped)
1 TSP Ground Black Pepper


Recipe Instructions:


Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Mix the meat, egg and seasonings together in a large glass bowl.
Form about two TBSPs of the meat mixture into even sized meatballs and place them on the lined baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until fully cooked through.
While meatballs are baking, add the olive oil to a pan and heat up on a medium heat.
Next add the chopped onion and saut? For five minutes.
Then, add the chopped garlic, canned tomatoes, bay leaf and pepper to the pan, stir to combine well.
Simmer the sauce on a low to medium heat for 20 ? 30 Minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
Pour over the cooked meatballs and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley.
