1 Cup Dried Marrowfat Peas
2 TBSP Baking Soda
Pinch of Salt
Pinch of Ground Black Pepper
Pinch of Sugar
In a large glass bowl, place the peas, baking soda and cover with 1 cup of cold water.
Soak overnight.
Drain the peas and place into a large pot and cover with water and bring to a boil.
Lower heat and simmer for about 45 minutes or until the peas soften and turn mushy.
Season with salt, pepper and sugar to taste, serve hot.
