2 New York Strip Steaks (1" Thick)
Pinch of Salt
Pinch of Ground Black Pepper
1 TSP Butter (Unsalted)
Over high heat, heat a large cast iron skillet for 5 minutes.
Season steaks with salt and pepper.
Add 1/2 TSP of butter to the skillet and immediately add one steak.
Repeat process for the second steak.
Cook without moving the steaks until a golden-brown crust forms on the edges, roughly 4-5 minutes, turn steak and cook a further 2-3 minutes on the second side.
Transfer steaks to a cutting board and allow to rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain and serving.
