3 Cups Whole Milk
1 Cup Heavy Cream
1 TSP Vanilla Extract
1/2 Cup White Rice
1 TBSP Brown Sugar
1 TSP Ground Nutmeg
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Lightly butter a 1 Quart ovenproof dish, set aside.
In a saucepan over medium heat place milk, cream and vanilla extract, heat until hot but not boiling, remove from the heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
In the greased ovenproof dish, sprinkle rice and sugar.
Pour warmed milk over the top and stir until thoroughly mixed.
Sprinkle the ground nutmeg on top and place the dish onto a baking sheet and place in the center of the oven and bake for 2-3 hours until the rice pudding is thick and creamy and have a golden-brown nutmeg covered skin on top.
