Roasted Pears With Ginger And Walnuts Recipe.


Ingredients:


5 Pears (Cored and Halved Except for 1)
2 1/2 Oz Walnuts (Halves)
1 Oz Pine Nuts
1 1/2 TSP Ground Cinnamon
1 TSP Caraway Seeds
1 Oz Stem Ginger


Recipe Instructions:


In a 9x13 baking dish, place the pear halves flesh side up, sprinkle with the caraway seeds and 1/2 TSP of cinnamon.
Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until the edges begin to turn brown and the flesh has begun to turn soft.
Remove from oven and allow to cool.
On a baking sheet, spread out the pine nuts and walnuts and roast in the oven for 4-5 minutes.
While the nuts are roasting, scoop the flesh out of the pear halves, leaving enough so that the skin and a little remaining flesh forms a cup.
Chop the pear flesh and add it to a food processor along with the roasted pine nuts and walnuts, blitz in the processor until a chunky mixture is created.
Divide the pear and nut mixture between the pear halves, slice the remaining pear into thin segments and top the pear halves, serve cold or heated with the sauce of your choice.
