1 Cube of Sugar
Dash of Peychaud's Bitter
3 Oz Rye Whiskey
3 Drops of Absinthe or Herb saint
1 Lemon Twist (Garnish)
Chill an old-fashioned glass by filling it with ice, set aside.
In a mixing glass, soak the sugar cube with the Peychaud's bitters and muddle to crush the sugar cube.
Add the rye whiskey and stir.
Discard the ice in the old-fashioned glass and rinse the glass with a few drops of absinthe, discard.
Pour the whiskey mixture into the absinthe rinsed glass.
Garnish with a lemon twist and enjoy!
