Shanghai Style Wonton Soup Recipe.

Ingredients:

10 wontons, fresh or frozen
1 TSP maggi sauce (or soy sauce)
⅛ TSP sesame oil
⅛ TSP white pepper
⅛ TSP salt
1-2 pieces of nori seaweed, loosely crumbled
1 TSP cilantro, chopped
1 TSP green onions, chopped

Recipe Instructions:

In a small saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.
Add wontons and turn heat down to medium-high.
Give it a quick stir so that the wontons don't stick to the bottom.
Cover and cook for 5 minutes, until wontons float to the top.
Add 1 cup of cold water.
Once the wontons float up again to the top, remove from heat and set aside.
In a large soup bowl, add maggi sauce, sesame oil, white pepper, salt, and seaweed.
Scoop wontons out of the pot and into the bowl.
Add 2 cups of the wonton water into the bowl and garnish with cilantro and green onions.
