Spaghetti Sauce Recipe.


Ingredients:


1 TBSP Olive Oil
1 LB Ground Beef (20% Fat)
Pinch of Salt
Pinch of Ground Black Pepper
1 Cup Yellow Onion (Chopped)
3 Cloves of Garlic (Minced)
1 (28 Oz) Can Crushed Tomatoes
3/4 Cup Water
2 1/2 TBSP Tomato Paste
1/4 Cup Fresh Basil (Chopped)
3/4 TSP Dried Oregano
1/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese (Shredded)


Recipe Instructions:


Heat olive oil in a deep large skilled over medium high heat.
Add beef in crumbles, allowing space for them to sear and turn golden-brown, about 4 minutes.
Begin to crumble cooked beef in the pan for about 4 more minutes.
Drain beef, saving 1-2 TBSP of rendered fat.
In another skillet, add rendered fat and heat on medium.
Add the onion and saut? For 4 minutes, add garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
Stir in crushed canned tomatoes, water, tomato paste, cooked beef, basil and oregano, season with salt and pepper.
Bring to a light boil then reduce heat to low, cover and simmer until the onions are nice and tender, about 15 minutes.
Stir in parmesan cheese and serve warm.
