3 TBSP Olive Oil
1 Onion (Sliced Thinly)
3 Cloves of Garlic (Minced)
1 TBSP Fresh Ginger (Minced)
2 1/2 TSP Ground Coriander
1 TSP Ground Cumin
1/4 TSP Red Pepper Flakes
1/4 TSP Turmeric
1/2 TSP Salt
1/2 TSP Ground Black Pepper
2 TBSP Water
1 1/2 LBS Sirloin Steak (Cut Into 1" Cubes)
3 TBSP Fresh Cilantro (Chopped)
In a large skillet, over medium heat, heat the oil.
Add sliced onion and cook for 5 minutes until translucent.
Add garlic and ginger and continue to cook for another minute.
In a small bowl, combine the coriander, cumin, pepper flakes, turmeric, salt and water and mix well.
Add spice paste to the onion and cook while stirring continually for 1-2 minutes.
Add the cubed steak to the pan and cook while stirring occasionally for 3-4 minutes.
Raise heat to high and continue to cook for another 2 minutes, stir in the cilantro and serve over cooked basmati rice.
