Welsh Rarebit Recipe.


Ingredients:


4 Slices of Whole-Grain Bread (Sliced Thick & Toasted)
2 TBSP Butter (Unsalted)
2 TBSP All Purpose Flour
1/3 Cup Newcastle Brown Ale (Room Temperature)
1 TSP Worcestershire Sauce
1 TSP Mustard Powder
1 Cup White Cheddar cheese (Grated)


Recipe Instructions:


In a pan over medium heat, add the butter, once melted whisk in the flour and cook for a minute or two, until the flour is not lumpy.
Slowly pour in the ale while whisking continually, then add the Worcestershire sauce and mustard powder and mix again to combine.
Add in the grated cheese and using a spatula, stir until cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
Pre heat the broiler.
Spread cheese sauce on all 4 slices of toasted bread and broil until bubbling and golden brown.
Serve immediately.
