1 Cup Wild Rice
6 Cups Water
Pinch of Salt
1 Clove Garlic (Minced)
1 Green Onion (Sliced)
In a large pot, bring 6 cups of water to a steady boil.
Meanwhile, thoroughly rinse the rice in a colander under running water.
Add the rice to the pot of boiling water and continue cooking, reducing the heat as needed to maintain an active simmer.
After 45 minutes, check that the rice is tender, if not fully cooked, continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
When rice is cooked, drain the rice and return to the pot, add in the garlic and green onion, stir quickly to combine, cover the pot and let sit for 5 minutes and then serve.
