1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs, room temperature
1 TBSP 2% milk
1 TSP vanilla extract
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup quick-cooking oats
1/2 TSP baking powder
1/4 TSP salt
4 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
1/3 cup chopped pecans, toasted
MAPLE GLAZE:
1 cup confectioners' sugar
2 TBSPs maple syrup
1/2 to 1 TSP maple flavoring, optional
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes.
Beat in eggs, milk and vanilla.
Combine flour, oats, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture.
Fold in bacon and pecans.
Spread into a greased 9" square baking pan.
Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 20-25 minutes.
Cool on a wire rack.
For glaze, in a small bowl, mix confectioners' sugar, syrup and, if desired, maple flavoring.
Drizzle over bars; let stand until set.
