Bread Sauce Recipe.


Ingredients:


8 Oz Slightly Stale White Bread (Torn into Small Chunks)
2 Cups Whole Milk
1 White Onion (Peeled and Quartered)
4 Cloves
2 Bay Leaves
1/2 Whole Nutmeg
1 TBSP Butter (Unsalted)
2 TBSP Pouring Cream
1/2 TSP Salt
1/2 TSP Ground Black Pepper


Recipe Instructions:


Place 1 clove in each onion quarter.
Place into a saucepan over medium heat along with the milk and bay leaves, bring to a boil and reduce down to a quick simmer before milk scorches.
Remove pan from heat and allow to stand in place for 2 hours.
Strain milk mixture to remove the bay leaves, onion and cloves.
Place pan back on a low heat.
Slowly begin to stir in the bread until you have the desired consistency.
Grate in nutmeg, add salt and pepper, stir in butter and cream and serve hot.
