For the grilled steak:
2 boneless ribeye or New York strip steaks (6-8 ounces each)
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
For the garlic butter asparagus:
1 bunch of asparagus, woody ends trimmed
2 tablespoons of butter
2 cloves of garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Rub the steaks with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Grill the steaks for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness.
Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing.
While the steaks are resting, melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add the trimmed asparagus to the skillet and season with salt and pepper.
Sauté the asparagus for about 5-7 minutes until crisp-tender.
Serve the grilled steak alongside the garlic butter asparagus for a satisfying and flavorful low-carb dinner.
