1/2 cup of oats
1 cup of water
1 cup of milk (dairy or plant-based)
1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup (optional)
1 tablespoon of chopped nuts (such as almonds or walnuts)
1 tablespoon of flaxseeds (optional)
In a small saucepan, combine the mixed berries, oats, water, and milk.
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low.
Simmer for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are cooked and the porridge thickens.
Remove from heat and sweeten with honey or maple syrup if desired.
Top the porridge with chopped nuts and flaxseeds for added texture and nutrition.
