2 oz gin
1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz fresh lime juice
1 oz simple syrup
3 oz heavy cream
1 egg white
3-4 drops orange flower water
Club soda (to top)
Crushed ice
Orange zest (for garnish)
Begin by chilling a Collins glass in the freezer for a few minutes. This will help keep your cocktail cool.
In a cocktail shaker, combine the gin, lemon juice, lime juice, simple syrup, heavy cream, and egg white. The egg white is what gives the Ramos Gin Fizz its signature frothy texture, so be sure to use fresh eggs for the best results.
Add 3-4 drops of orange flower water to the shaker. Be cautious not to add too much, as orange flower water has a strong flavor that can easily overpower the drink.
Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for at least a minute. The longer you shake, the more the ingredients will emulsify, creating that luxurious foam that defines the Ramos Gin Fizz.
Strain the mixture into the chilled Collins glass, allowing the thick foam to form on top.
Top off the glass with a splash of club soda, which will add a touch of effervescence to the cocktail.
