1 ½ oz dark rum
1 ½ oz light rum
1 oz lime juice
½ oz apricot liqueur
½ oz grenadine
1 tsp superfine sugar
1 dash Angostura bitters
1 dash Herbsaint or absinthe
Crushed ice
Mint sprig (for garnish)
Lime wheel (for garnish)
Pineapple leaves (for garnish, optional)
Begin by chilling a hurricane glass or tall glass in the freezer for a few minutes. This will ensure your Zombie remains refreshingly cool.
In a cocktail shaker, combine the dark rum, light rum, lime juice, apricot liqueur, grenadine, superfine sugar, Angostura bitters, and a dash of Herbsaint or absinthe. The combination of rums, tropical fruit flavors, and a touch of bitterness creates a complex and enticing flavor profile.
