Sinigang (Sour Soup) Recipe.


Ingredients:


500 grams pork ribs
1 liter water
1 medium onion, quartered
2 medium tomatoes, quartered
2 cups kangkong (water spinach)
1 cup sitaw (long beans), cut into 2-inch pieces
2 pieces radish, sliced
2 pieces gabi (taro), peeled and quartered
2 tablespoons tamarind soup base
Salt to taste


Recipe Instructions:


In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add pork ribs and simmer for 1 hour or until tender.
Add onions and tomatoes to the pot and simmer for another 10 minutes.
Add gabi, radish, and tamarind soup base. Simmer for 5 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
Add kangkong and sitaw. Cook for 2 minutes or until the vegetables are cooked but still crisp.
Season with salt to taste.
Serve hot with steamed rice.
