Cinnamon Swirl Bread Recipe.

Ingredients:

For the dough:

3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup granulated sugar
2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup warm milk (around 110°F/43°C)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg

For the cinnamon swirl:

¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
½ cup packed brown sugar
1 ½ tablespoons ground cinnamon

For the glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar
1-2 tablespoons milk
½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Recipe Instructions:

Prepare the dough:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, and egg.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead it for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

First rise:

Lightly oil a large bowl and place the kneaded dough into it, turning it around to coat it with oil.
Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm, draft-free place for about 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.

Prepare the cinnamon swirl:

In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon until well combined.

Shape the dough:

Once the dough has risen, gently punch it down to release any air bubbles.
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and roll it out into a rectangle, approximately 16x10 inches.

Add the cinnamon swirl:

Spread the prepared cinnamon swirl mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
Roll and shape the loaf:

Starting from one of the longer sides, tightly roll the dough into a log.
Pinch the seam to seal the roll.
Place the roll seam-side down and gently tuck the ends under to form a loaf shape.

Second rise:

Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan and place the shaped loaf into the pan.
Cover the pan with a kitchen towel and let the dough rise for another 30-60 minutes until it reaches the top of the pan.

Preheat and bake:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) during the last 10 minutes of the second rise.
Once the dough has risen, bake the loaf in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until it turns golden brown.
To check if the bread is done, insert a toothpick into the center of the loaf—it should come out clean.
Remove the bread from the pan and let it cool on a wire rack.

Prepare the glaze:

In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Glaze the bread:

Once the bread has cooled slightly, drizzle the glaze over the top of the loaf.
Allow the glaze to set before slicing and serving.
