1 large round loaf of bread (such as a boule or sourdough)
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
2 cups shredded cheese (such as cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the bread:
Using a serrated knife, make diagonal cuts about 1 inch apart across the top of the bread, making sure not to slice all the way through. Repeat in the opposite direction to create a grid pattern.
Prepare the butter mixture:
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
Stuff the cheese:
Gently separate the cut sections of the bread and stuff them with the shredded cheese. Be generous with the cheese, making sure to distribute it evenly throughout the bread.
Drizzle the butter mixture:
Pour the prepared butter mixture evenly over the top of the bread, ensuring it seeps into the cuts and covers the entire loaf.
Wrap and bake:
Wrap the bread loosely in aluminum foil, leaving the top slightly exposed.
Place the wrapped bread on a baking sheet and transfer it to the preheated oven.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese has melted and the bread is heated through.
Unwrap and broil:
Remove the foil from the bread and switch the oven to the broil setting.
Place the bread back in the oven, under the broiler, for 2-3 minutes or until the top turns golden brown and slightly crispy. Keep a close eye on it to prevent burning.
Serve and enjoy:
Remove the cheesy pull-apart bread from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
Serve it warm, allowing everyone to pull apart the cheesy sections.
