Ingredients:

For the Chicken:

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
1/2 cup cornstarch
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust according to your spice preference)

For the Sauce:

3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup chicken broth

For Stir-frying:

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 cup diced bell peppers (red and green)
1/2 cup diced onions
1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional, for drizzling)

For Garnish:

Sliced green onions
Toasted sesame seeds

Recipe Instructions:

Coat the Chicken:

In a bowl, add the chicken pieces and cornstarch. Toss until the chicken is evenly coated with cornstarch.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add the coated chicken pieces to the hot oil and stir-fry until they turn golden brown and crispy. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Prepare the Sauce:

In a separate bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, honey, cornstarch, and chicken broth until well combined.
Set the sauce mixture aside.

Stir-fry the Vegetables:

In the same skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes. Stir-fry for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add diced bell peppers and onions to the skillet. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender.

Combine Chicken, Sauce, and Vegetables:

Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the stir-fried vegetables.
Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and vegetables.
Stir well to coat everything evenly and bring the sauce to a simmer.
Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken and vegetables.

Serve:

Remove from heat and drizzle with sesame oil (optional) for extra flavor.
Garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
