1 pound (450g) store-bought or homemade ravioli (your choice of filling)
2 tablespoons (30ml) olive oil
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 can (14 ounces/400g) crushed tomatoes
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt and black pepper to taste
Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Cook the ravioli according to the package instructions, or if using homemade ravioli, cook them until they float to the surface in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until it becomes fragrant and golden.
Add the crushed tomatoes, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine. Simmer the tomato sauce for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Gently add the cooked ravioli to the skillet with the tomato sauce. Toss the ravioli in the sauce until they are coated evenly.
Remove the skillet from heat and serve the ravioli with tomato sauce hot.
Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves.
