Chicken Parmesan Pasty Recipe.


Ingredients:


2 sheets of ready-made puff pastry
2 chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
1 cup marinara sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil for brushing


Recipe Instructions:


Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Filling:

In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken with the marinara sauce until well coated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Stir in the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese until combined.

Assemble the Pasties:

Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface.
Using a round cutter or a plate as a guide, cut out circles from the pastry sheets, approximately 6-8 inches in diameter.
Place a spoonful of the chicken and cheese mixture onto one half of each pastry circle, leaving a small border around the edges.
Fold the other half of the pastry circle over the filling to create a semi-circle shape.
Use a fork to crimp and seal the edges of the pasties. Trim off any excess pastry if necessary.

Brush with Egg Wash:

Place the pasties on the prepared baking sheet.
Brush the tops of the pasties with beaten egg to create a golden brown finish when baked.

Bake the Pasties:

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pasties are puffed and golden brown.

Serve:

Remove the pasties from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
