Chili Dog Nachos Recipe.


Ingredients:


1 1/2 LBs Ground Beef
3/4 Cup Onion (Minced)
1 Clove of Garlic (Minced)
2 TBSP Chili Powder
1 (6 Oz) Can Tomato Paste
1 TBSP Yellow Mustard
2 TSP Brown Sugar
1 TSP Worcestershire Sauce
1 1/2 Cups Water
Pinch of Salt
Pinch of Ground Black Pepper
1 (12 Oz) Package of Hot Dogs (Cut into 1/2" Pieces)
2 TBSP Butter
2 TBSP All Purpose Flour
1 1/2 Cups Whole Milk
1/4 TSP Paprika
1 Cup Colby Jack Cheese (Shredded)


Recipe Instructions:


In a large saut? Pan, over medium heat cook the ground beef breaking it up as it cooks.
Using a potato masher make sure the beef is broken up very finely.
When the beef is almost completely browned, add the onion and cook until beginning to soften.
Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
Stir in the chili powder and also add the tomato paste, mustard, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce, stir until well combined.
Add the water and bring mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 40-50 minutes.
Season to taste with salt and pepper, stir in the hot dog pieces and continue to cook until hot dogs are heated through.
Meanwhile, in a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
Slowly add the milk to the mixture whisking constantly, add a pinch of paprika and cook until the sauce has thickened.
Add cheese and stir until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth and lump free.
To serve, place a layer of tortilla chips on a serving platter, top with some of the chili hot dog mixture, followed by the cheese sauce, serve with mixed onions.
Add any additional toppings you may like and serve warm.
