Chinese Chicken & Broccoli Recipe.


Ingredients:


1 Large Head of Broccoli (Cut into Florets)
3 TBSP Olive Oil
6 Chicken Thighs (Boneless, Skinless)
2 Cloves of Garlic (Finely Chopped)
3 Spring Onions (Trimmed and Sliced Thinly)
1 Inch Piece of Ginger (Peeled and Finely Chopped)
2 TBSP Hoisin Sauce
3 TBSP Soy Sauce
6 TBSP Honey
6 TBSP Hot Water


Recipe Instructions:


Steam or Sautee the broccoli florets until they are cooked, but still somewhat firm.
Set aside.
In a large skillet over a high heat, add the oil and heat until shimmering, add chicken and brown on all sides to seal the meat.
Remove chicken and set aside.
In the same pan, fry the garlic, spring onion and ginger for 30-45 seconds until fragrant.
Place chicken back in the pan, add soy sauce, hoisin sauce and hot water and bring mixture to a boil.
Once sauce begins to boil, drizzle the honey over the chicken and simmer, turning the chicken occasionally while drizzling with more of the honey.
Cook for 8-12 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has reduced and thickened slightly.
Add in the cooked broccoli florets and toss with the sauce until everything is cooked through, serve over rice.
