Creamy Cajun Shrimp Pasta Recipe.


Ingredients:


1 LB Shrimp
8 Oz Penne Pasta
2 TBSP Olive Oil
3 TBSP Cajun Seasoning
2 TBSP Butter (Unsalted)
2 Cloves of Garlic (Minced)
1 TBSP All Purpose Flour
1 1/2 Cups Half and Half
1/3 Cup Parmesan Cheese (Grated)
Pinch of Salt
Pinch of Ground Black Pepper


Recipe Instructions:


Cook the pasta according to package directions, drain, rinse and set aside.
In a medium glass bowl, combine the shrimp, 2 TBSP of olive oil and 2 TBSP of the Cajun seasoning and toss to evenly coat.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat, add 1 TBSP of olive oil and add the shrimp cooking until pink and cooked through, roughly 6-8 minutes.
Remove the shrimp and set aside.
Add the butter to the same pan the shrimp were cooked in, add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Whisk in the all-purpose flour followed by the half and half a little at a time.
Once all of the half and half has been incorporated into the butter and flour mixture, stir in the parmesan cheese, allowing it to melt to combine with the cream sauce.
Stir in the remaining TBSP of Cajun seasoning, add salt and pepper to taste, reduce heat to medium-low.
Add the cooked, drained and rinsed pasta to the pan, along with the cooked shrimp and stir to combine evenly.
Serve in individual bowls.
