1 1/2 Cups Whole Milk
2 TBSP All Purpose Flour
2 Cups Parmesan Cheese (Grated)
1 TSP Salt
1/4 TSP Mustard Powder
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, place 1 cup of the milk, in a small glass bowl, place remaining milk and all purpose flour and whisk until smooth.
When steam begins to ride from the milk in the saucepan, whisk in the milk and flour mixture, continually whisking until the milk thickens to the consistency of heavy cream, this should take about 4-5 minutes.
Turn the heat down on the thickened milk and begin adding the grated cheese a little at a time, stirring into the milk mixture until melted before adding more cheese, once all the cheese has been added, stir in the salt and mustard powder.
